My eyes have always gravitated to floors with the business that I have enjoyed for the past 23 years in carpet cleaning. Most of the houses have been covered with carpeting pretty much corner to corner. Boy how people learned to hate it in kitchens and bathrooms. Homeowners reverted back to hard surfaces in the house for a variety of reasons. Price of upkeep was draining the consumers pocketbook along with everyone’s place looked like their neighbors on the inside. The distinct look of man made tile and natural stones have given the home a warmth and personal look for every homeowner. With the reduction of prices for natural stone we now see the homeowner looking at granite counters, marble vanities with limestone, marble or travertine floors or variations of any or all materials. We can now enjoy heated floors that are more energy efficient with elimination of cold spots within the individual rooms. |
